B is for Birth

About Isabel

I have also worked as the chef/manager at award winning Altrincham Market’s ‘Little Window’.
This has helped to further develop and enhance my culinary skills, helping to make B is for Birth, unique, in offering professional birth support, combined with a personal chef service.

Uniquely, I specialise in offering support during hospital births, offering natural birth techniques in the safety of a hospital setting, the best of both worlds.

Crucially, I offer support for Dad’s too, helping them to understand the role they can play in supporting their pregnant partner, throughout the pregnancy and birth, and how they can care for their new baby.

As a Holistic Birth Practitioner, I offer a continuous supportive and informative presence throughout the pregnancy, birth and adjusting to life with a new baby.  Increasingly, parents to-be are looking beyond the NHS for support at time that can be equally exciting and daunting.

Evidence shows, that women who feel supported throughout their birth, have shorter labours, better birth outcomes, and have decreased rates of post natal depression.

After studying midwifery at Leeds University, I've spent many years working in managerial roles within the NHS, giving me a clear understanding of the pressures faced by the NHS, and why it is becoming increasingly common for people to arrange additional support for their pregnancy, birth and new baby journey.

I re-trained as a Holistic Birth Practitioner, over a 2 year period, and in this non-clinical role, I work with pregnant women, and their families, to help them to prepare physically and emotionally for the birth, and for life with a new baby.
